Mahaffey Family Camp
July 21-30, 2017
Family Camp is Mahaffey’s most anticipated event of the year. With several thousand people coming to visit during the 10-day period of Family Camp, this is a time of fun and excitement. Families are able to attend and spend time with one another, while also benefiting from activities and sessions geared for each individual age group (not to mention, the milkshakes are delectable)! For many of our regular attendees, this is the highlight of the summer.
Each day brings new events at Family Camp—there is always something to do! Children in preschool through age 12 have a variety of ministry rotations to follow daily, including Playground time (for preschoolers), Bible Time, Recreation, Crafts, Prayer time, and evening services (Big Event for ages 4-7; G. C. Kidz Club for ages 8 – 12). Options for Youth ministries include prayer meetings, morning service, ministry seminars, sports tournaments and pick-up games, evening service, and “Late Night Live” activities.
Adults can attend an early Morning Prayer meeting and healing service, and a regular morning and evening service. In addition, International Workers from around the world share their experiences during the adult services. A “Fresh Breeze” Service is also available in the afternoon, which is a more contemporary adult service—perfect for college-age and young adults, as well as any others who would like to attend.
Other events taking place during Family Camp include: A “Ride for Freedom Service” (a motorcycle ride ending at Mahaffey Camp for a patriotic service), District Pastor’s Wives Connection, Discipleship and Enrichment Seminar Sessions, a Seniors Event, a Memorial Golf Tournament, Children’s Penny Parade, Missionary Day, Baptismal Service, a 5k Race, and a Bloodmobile Visit to Camp. The Country Craft Shoppe, which sells a variety of homemade crafts in addition to camp memorabilia, is open as well (all proceeds benefit the camp).
Several options are offered for accommodations, including Dorm and Longhouse rooms, tent sites, and RV sites. Contact the camp office to check space availability.
Meals are served daily in the dining hall. The Camp Store is open as well, selling a variety of sandwiches, fries, drinks, etc. Discounted meal plan tickets are available at the Welcome Center; Individual meal tickets are available in the Dining Hall as well.
Rates and Accommodations are subject to change yearly; the brochure for Family Camp is available each spring.
Whether you are planning to stay the full 10 days or just want to drop by for a one-day visit, we would love for you to join us at Mahaffey Family Camp!
