At Mahaffey Camp, our hope and our goal is that no child is ever turned away from a life-changing week of camp because of financial obstacles. In order to assist families who would like to send a child to camp, but are unable to financially, we have a few options available for scholarship opportunities.
Church Scholarships
Many churches have designated funds available for camper scholarships. Check with your church office to see if any scholarship opportunities are available for your camper(s)!
Mahaffey Youth Camp Scholarship Fund
Generous donors show their support for Mahaffey’s Youth Camp ministry by providing to our Youth Camp Scholarship Fund. If your family is struggling financially and is unable to cover the cost of camp for your camper, we may be able to assist financially – either partially or fully. Scholarship funds are awarded beyond the $75 registration fee.

Angel Tree Ministries
Mahaffey Youth Camps are a proud partner of Angel Tree Ministries, which is a program of Prison Fellowship Ministries. This program makes camp possible for the children of incarcerated parents by providing scholarship funds. Campers are responsible to cover the $75 registration fee (which can be made in multiple payments no later than June 1), and Angel Tree funds cover the remaining cost.
To be eligible for Angel Tree scholarships, campers must be between the ages of 5 and 18, and meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Angel Tree Child – camper has received a Christmas gift through Angel Tree Ministries in any previous year (registered for the program by their incarcerated parent).
- Angel Tree Household – camper currently lives in a household with an Angel Tree child who is also attending camp in the same year.
If your child qualifies for an Angel Tree scholarship, please designate “Angel Tree” on their camper registration and send in your $75 registration fee. Our camp office will follow up with the application paperwork to fill out. Note: both the $75 registration fee and the Angel Tree paperwork are required in order to qualify for the scholarship.
