It’s no secret that the young adult stage of life can be daunting. The years after high school can be overflowing with apprehension and isolation as young people seek God’s direction in their lives amidst an ever-changing culture. We’re thrilled to host a retreat designed especially for this age group – a retreat that provides opportunity for connection, discipleship, and spiritual growth for those young adults who are shaping our world.

2024 Main Speaker: Pastor Matt Montgomery
Matt and his wife, Erin, have been serving the people of First Baptist Church in DuBois, PA for over 15 years. During that time, one of their greatest joys has been discipling teenagers and then walking with them through the early years of adulthood. Matt is passionate about helping people understand the Gospel and apply it to every aspect of life.
Seminar Leader: Becky Hoover
Becky has been married for 29 years to a wonderful man and is mother to four amazing, independent men. She was born and raised in DuBois, Pennsylvania and attended Lancaster Bible College majoring in Secretarial and Bible which she has used in some capacity ever since. She also enjoys stamping, cooking and encouraging women and young adults to love big and enjoy every minute of this crazy, wonderful, unpredictable life. Her workshop topic is designed to encourage you in your crazy life as well.
Seminar Leader: Gavin Hoover
Gavin is 23 years old and lives in Dubois, PA. He is engaged to be married in August of this year. In his free time he loves to travel, play pickleball, drink coffee and hang out with his friends. He also has the privilege of serving at a local youth group and young adult ministry.
Details about the Retreat
Who can come?
This retreat is open to all young adults ages 18 – 35. Both individual attendees and married couples are welcome.
Is there childcare?
Sorry, childcare will not be provided at this retreat. We encourage you to find a sitter and enjoy some time in spiritual restoration!
What are the registration options?
We offer two options for registration: full retreat (Friday – Sunday) or partial retreat (Friday – Saturday)
What will we do at the retreat?
Come ready for an exciting time of fellowship and discipleship! You’ll participate in worship sessions, hear from great speakers at service time and workshops, and you’ll get to spend time with other young adults at social activities.
