Waivers and Permission Forms
Several of our camps require additional waivers to participate: Horse Camp, STEM Camp, and Adventure Camp. Find your camp’s waiver below, fill it out, and mail to PO Box 277, Mahaffey PA 15757, or email to [email protected].
Does your camper need to leave and return partway through the week for a game/appointment / etc.? Will your camper be leaving earlier than the scheduled pickup time on the last day of camp? Will your camper be leaving with someone other than their parent/guardian on the last day of camp? If any of these situations apply, please fill out the Departure Permission Form and bring it with you to registration. If you forget to fill it out ahead of time, we will have extra copies available.
ALL MEDICATIONS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THEIR ORIGINAL BOTTLES. NO LOOSE MEDICATIONS, PLEASE!
Camper Medications
All medications must be brought in their original bottles.

Special Additional Items Required for Specific Camps
Soccer Camp – shin guards (mandatory), goalkeeper gloves, soccer cleats, compression wraps (if needed). The camp will supply each camper with their own soccer ball.
Horse Camp
Clothing: Long jeans or riding pants are required when working around or riding horses. No shorts, capris, jogging pants, or lightweight pants should be worn while you are around the horses.
Shoes: Riding boots with a minimum of 1″ heel are required. No tennis shoes, sandals, open back shoes, or flip flops will be allowed near the designated horse areas.
Helmet: All campers must bring a riding helmet. The helmet must be an ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmet. *Bike helmets are not permitted.* If you do not have a helmet, the camp has a few on a first-come, first-served basis. Clearly label your helmet and do not plan to “share” helmets with another camper.
Prohibited Items
The following items are all prohibited at youth camps and subject to confiscation.
- Cell phones
- Electronic devices, including computers, tablets, music players, electronic game devices, radios, or wearable technology
- Knives, firearms, or other weapons
- Fireworks, matches, or lighters
- Laser pointers
- Tobacco (including e-cigarettes)
- Alcohol or any other illegal substances
A note about cell phones: Youth Camps are meant to be a place for kids and teens to DISCONNECT from technology and refocus on what really matters. Research shows that it is extremely healthy for young people to spend time away from technology. We respectfully ask that you DO NOT send a cell phone (or any other technological device) with your camper to camp. Not only will technology be detrimental to their experience at camp, but Mahaffey Camp cannot be held responsible for broken/lost/stolen technology, or for data usage. Please help us create an amazing camp atmosphere for your child (and others) by keeping technology at home. Thank you.
Prepay for Camper Snack Shop Cards
Our Snack Shop is available to campers twice daily at a time scheduled within their camp. Items available include drinks, chips, candy, and ice cream novelties. Camp merchandise is also available. To prepay for snack cards for your camper (and skip the Snack Shop line at registration), fill out the form at the link below.
Keep in Touch with Your Camper with BUNK1
We utilize a service called BUNK1 to provide parents with the opportunity to send emails to their campers throughout the week. For a small fee, you can send “bunk notes” that we will print out and deliver to your campers during their mealtimes.
To send bunk notes, you’ll create an account on the BUNK1 site using our camp passcode. Follow these steps:
- Go to Bunk1.com
- Click “New Here? Get Started”
- Enter Invitation Code: 26MCCC
PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT have a way for campers to respond to your Bunk Notes. Campers are welcome to send postal mail through our camp office – send your camper with envelopes and stamps if you’d like them to have this opportunity. Parents are welcome to send camper mail via postal mail also – include your camper’s name on the envelope and address to: Mahaffey Camp, PO Box 277, Mahaffey PA 15757.
Camper Photos
Our camp photos have gone digital! After the conclusion of each week of camp, we upload the week’s photos (including a group photo of each camp) to our camp photo site. On this site, you can purchase digital downloads or physical prints (plus a lot of other fun items, like magnets, mugs, buttons, and more). An email will be sent out to all camper parents when the album is ready for you to view!
